It was indeed a whirlwind trip to the United States as we visited five cities in 15 days: Chicago, Seattle, Denver, San Francisco, Antioch California – then back again to Chicago, our port of entry and exit from the United Arab Emirates.

Naturally, I had to do some book shopping while I was in San Francisco. I am also very grateful to have had the opportunity to finally meet in person a blogger friend whom I have known for close to ten years now: Linda Baie from Teacher Dance. So very happy to have received book gifts from her as well. What an absolute delight!

Thank you, dear Linda, for all the book gifts. I left Naomi Shihab Nye’s poetry collection with my mother-in-law in Antioch.
