It is that time of the week again where we share a book quote that seemed particularly striking for us.

For the month of MAY, our book quote theme is: JUSTICE.

The Philippine election is happening this month (yes, I am a registered voter), and so I thought of devoting the entire month to JUSTICE, especially since fabrications, deceptions, manufactured versions of alternate realities are being peddled as so-called ‘truths.’

I think I own a copy (to be found somewhere in my dusty bookshelves) of Aleksandr I. Solzhenitzyn’s The Gulag Archipelago (Amazon | Book Depository). This quote speaks to me a great deal because it highlights how silence only rewards the oppressor, and that there could be no justice without reparation.
