It is that time of the week again where we share a book quote that seemed particularly striking for us.

For the month of February, our book quote theme is: KISS.

I discovered the beauty and complexity of Russian literature on my own when I was a college undergraduate. I scoured our ancient library shelves in my university to find titles that would speak to me. Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak (Amazon | Book Depository) was one such title. At the time, I was just intent on getting through as many books as I possibly can – while meeting term paper deadlines for my actual course (which was psychology – nothing to do at all with Russian literature). I am sure most of the books went over my head – particularly the ones by Fyodor Dostoevsky and yes, Doctor Zhivago. I hope to revisit these classics maybe in a few years’ time.
