Junior Review: Greystone Secrets: The Strangers

Reality. A word so simple yet it has so many layers that we can’t comprehend.

A kidnapping and mysterious behaviors are only the beginning of a chilling series of events that take place in The Strangers by Margaret Peterson Haddix.

Chess, Emma, and Finn Greystone are three siblings that think nothing of it when their mom listens to a news report of three missing kids from Arizona. Until they continue listening and find out that they share the same exact names and birthdays with them.

Their mom starts acting suspiciously and suddenly leaves on a business trip, leaving them in the hands of a stranger named Ms.Morales and her daughter Natalie.
The three Greystone kids find that their mother has left her phones and computer at home, even though she’s on a business trip.
On the devices they find a hidden letter which the siblings and Natalie have to decode in order to find out more about the secrets that are being hidden. Doppelgängers and dark tunnels send them spiraling into a completely different world.
